How do I set a price per night or per day?

For an item to rent, the item’s price becomes the price of one night or one day. The shop counts the length of stay and works out the total.

The setting

1. item’s “Booking” tab, type “Rental”;
2. in “Product price counted”, choose per night (arrival → departure) for accommodation: arrive Monday, leave Wednesday = 2 nights;
3. or per day (start and end included) for equipment: Monday to Wednesday = 3 days;
4. enter the price of one night or one day as the item’s price.

Minimum and maximum length

Two nights minimum at weekends, one week at most for the trailer? Set a minimum and maximum length: the shop turns down dates outside these limits and explains why to the customer.

What the customer sees

They choose their start date, end date and quantity. Before paying, they see the number of nights or days and the total. The period then appears on their order and invoice.
