New: how do I rent out a holiday home, a property or equipment from my shop?

New: your shop now handles rentals. A holiday cottage, a seaside studio, six bikes, a sound system or a trailer: your customer picks their arrival and departure, sees what is free and pays online.

Putting a product up for rent

  1. open the product page, “Booking” tab, tick “Bookable product” and choose the “Rental” type;
  2. enter the “Units for rent”: 1 for a cottage, 6 if you have six bikes;
  3. under “Product price counted”, choose per night (arrival → departure) for accommodation, or per day (start and end included) for equipment. The product price is then the price of one night or one day;
  4. if you wish, set a minimum and maximum length (two nights minimum at weekends, for example), a note for the customer (“check-in from 4 pm”) and your “Closures”: neither arrival nor departure can fall on a closed day.

What your customer sees

On the product page, they enter a start date, an end date and the quantity. The shop works out the number of nights or days and the total, before payment by card, PayPal or the payment method of your choice.

No double bookings

Each unit is counted day by day: as soon as a night at the cottage is booked, it is no longer offered. With six bikes, the seventh customer sees there are none left for those dates. In your back office, “Occupancy over the next 14 days” and “Upcoming bookings” show you who is arriving and when.

Your bookings, direct

Large rental platforms bring customers, but take a share of every booking. Your shop is an address to give to your regulars and to put on your Google listing or business cards: returning customers book with you, direct. You can also sell your products or offer your workshops there.

How much does it cost?

Nothing extra: rentals are included in the subscription, and all your rental income is yours, with no commission. And you only pay when you sell: your subscription starts with your first order.
